How to Successfully Write an Online Dating Profile

This article will help you write an online dating profile and generate successful dates.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know your goal. If you aren't sure of what you are looking for how will you find it? Before you set up an online dating profile you need to know if you are looking for a serious, long term relationship, dating, friends or whatever it is you are looking for. Once you know what you are looking for be honest about it in your profile. Do not advertise that you are looking for a long term relationship when in fact you would like to date many people. This can be very misleading and will likely end in an unfulfilling dating experience.

  2. Step 2

Don't bash your ex. When someone is reading a profile of a potential partner the last thing they want to hear about is how horrible your ex was. Many people will list previous dating experiences in hopes of not repeating these experiences. Face it, stuff happens when you date. Putting bad experiences in your dating profile will not prevent it, it will more likely deter the individuals who are great dating material.

  3. Step 3

Have fun! Meeting new people should be a fun experience. Be yourself and have fun with it. If you are true to yourself and they don't like you then they are not the right partner for you. Have a good time and enjoy finding the girl or guy of your dreams.
