      Green peppers are exactly the same as the red, orange, or yellow. They are simply not fully ripened. As some peppers ripen they will become hotter, then others taste sweeter and their flavor becomes milder.

      Plant peppers early in the season. Peppers needs warmth to germinate, so sow indoors in the early spring. Transplant pepper plants outside to their final site once they begin to flower.

      Keep peppers thoroughly watered. Weed and water on a regular basis. A layer of mulch will help prevent moisture in the soil from evaporating. If need to, stake up the plants for support.
