How to Plant Peppers outside

There are many different types of peppers, sweet, mild, hot, and scorching hot! What ever type of pepper it is the color has to do with how ripened that pepper is.

Instructions

1. 

   Green peppers are exactly the same as the red, orange, or yellow. They are simply not fully ripened. As some peppers ripen they will become hotter, then others taste sweeter and their flavor becomes milder.

2. 

   Plant peppers early in the season. Peppers needs warmth to germinate, so sow indoors in the early spring. Transplant pepper plants outside to their final site once they begin to flower.

3. 

   Keep peppers thoroughly watered. Weed and water on a regular basis. A layer of mulch will help prevent moisture in the soil from evaporating. If need to, stake up the plants for support.

4. 

   Little care is needed, but as the fruit began to set, water with a general fertilizer or liquid tomato fertilizer every two weeks.

5. 

   If you pick the peppers when they are green, the plant will go on producing more peppers. If you wait and pick peppers as they ripen more and turn red, the peppers will be sweeter.
