Things You'll Need:
-
Step 1
Setup your fish tank, make sure it is fully cycled and stable, make sure the pH is stable and that the temperature is set at 80-82F
-
Step 2
Drop by a reputable LFS and find a healthy, active and juvenile angelfish, make sure there are now white spots, cloudy eyes, tattered fins, lethargy, major aggressiveness or bloating.
-
Step 3
Bring your angelfish home and place the plastic bag in the fish tank and start aclimating, aclimate them for about half an hour.
-
Step 4
Don't even bother to feed your angelfish on the first day, make sure you keep him with other, non aggressive, similliar sized fish, do weekly water changes too
-
Step 5
Make sure that his diet is varied and that the tank is large enough, most angelfish get a little bigger than the size of your palm, they should not be kept with:
Guppies
Tetras
Cichlids ( dwarf cichlids usually make an exception )
baby fish -
Step 6
Good water quality is a must, the tank must be cycled and the pH and temperature must stay stable, fluctuating temperature spells out trouble.
