It's Independence day and a federal holiday so make plans to celebrate with your family and friends.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • bar-b-q pit
  • outdoor games
  • decorations
  • food
  1. Step 1

First begin by deciding what will be on the menu. Most families make hot dogs and hamburgers. It is easy and affordable. You can also have some chips and dips to snack on at your 4th of July celebration. Have some watermelon and fresh fruit. A good idea is to ask the guests to bring a dessert.

  2. Step 2

Next bring out the red, white, and blue. Make sure you have as many flags as possible because it's all about the flag and Independence day. You should be able to find a nice selection of tableware, balloons and decorations online or a local walmart. Decorating your party brings fun and excitement to your party.

  3. Step 3

Next try to find some outdoor activities for the adults and children. In the past we rented an outdoor water slide. It is so much fun and everyone can join in on the fun. It keeps the kids busy while the adults mingle. Inflatable bouncing balloons are fun too, but water slides keep you cool especially during a hot day in July. If you don't have the room or budget for an inflatable water slide then some other ideas would be volleyball, horseshoes, water balloon races.

  4. Step 4

Just remember to have fun and enjoy your day off and appreciate the country we live in. Happy 4th of July!
