How to Clean Under Armour Shirts

Under Armour produces a line of wicking underwear and athletic apparel for men, women and children. While the thin, high-tech fabrics used in Under Armour shirts may seem fragile at first, it's perfectly safe to clean them in a washing machine if you take the appropriate precautions. You can also wash your Under Armour shirts by hand, and their wicking nature will help them to dry quickly.

• Mild laundry detergent

Instructions

1. Place your Under Armour shirts in a mesh apparel bag for cleaning, if possible, to protect the delicate fabric from snags caused by zippers, snaps and other materials in the wash. If you don't have an apparel bag, consider washing your shirts separately from other clothing.

2. Launder your Under Armour shirts on the gentle cycle in cold water. Keep the colors clean and crisp by sorting your shirts into a load with similar colors.

3. Tumble dry your Under Armour shirts using the lowest heat setting possible on your dryer. It's also okay to drape them over the back of a chair or a door, or place them on a hanger and hang from the shower rod, to dry.

Tips & Warnings

• Never use bleach or fabric softener when washing your Under Armour shirts; stick to a mild detergent with no fabric softener added. Likewise, never use dryer sheets when drying your Under Armour sheets.
