Instructions

  1. How to Draw a Funnel

    • 1

Draw a horizontal oval. Draw it as many times as you need to until you become comfortable drawing the oval and have drawn an oval to your satisfaction.

    • 2

Start at each end of the oval and draw a diagonal line down and inward. The lines should stop before they meet. Leave a small gap between the 2 lines.

    • 3

Draw a short vertical line at the end of each of the diagonal lines. These 2 lines should parallel one another. They should just be a fraction of the length of the diagonal lines.

    • 4

Draw a second and much smaller oval at the bottom of the 2 parallel lines. This horizontal oval should connect the 2 parallel lines. Alternately, you could simply draw a small arc, bowing outward, at the bottom of the 2 lines.

Tips & Warnings

  • Practice makes perfect. Your drawing ability will only get better with practice. Experiment and try different perspectives. Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Use that eraser as much as necessary.
