Instructions

    • 1

Slice cheese, meats, like sausage, and baby potatoes and other vegetables of your choice in advance. Since Raclette is Swiss, you are recommended to use Emmentaler or a Swiss raclette cheese.

    • 2

Plug in the Raclette about 10 minutes before you plan to use it, so it is hot for your guests when you are ready to start cooking.

    • 3

Place a slice of cheese into the mini pans and place the pan underneath the main cook top. Cook the cheese until it melts or browns. Put the meat and vegetables on the cook top and cook until they are warm to hot and the potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork.

    • 4

Put the meat and vegetables on your plate when they are done cooking and scrape the melted cheese out of its pan and onto your potatoes. The Swiss typically serve pickled onions and gherkins with the raclette food.
