Yahoo Answers is a website where you can ask questions and answer questions within the Yahoo Answers community. If you use this application correctly, you will be known as an authority. As a result, you will increase traffic to your articles and web sites.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer
  • Time
  1. Step 1

Before asking a question, search Yahoo Answers to see if an inquiry has been made on your topic. Questions such has "How can I make money online?" have already been asked many times.

  2. Step 2

Wait at least one hour after a question is asked before posting an answer. If you don't allow time for other users to answer first, you may be just repeating the same thing someone else already posted. If you really want to help, and increase your best answer percentage, post a quality answer that offers something unique.

  3. Step 3

Make sure your answers are thorough, but don't overdo it. If your answer is long, separate it into paragraphs that are two to three sentences each. Lots of readers have short attention spans, and you don't want to lose them.

  4. Step 4

Check your spelling, and also read your posting to make sure there are no grammatical errors. Keep a lookout for common mistakes such as misuse of the words "to" and "too".

  5. Step 5

Back up your answers with authoritative websites whenever possible. This will increase your credibility with the Yahoo Answers community.

  6. Step 6

Post your Ehow profile and other websites to your Yahoo Answers profile. Enjoy the increased traffic and revenue!

Tips & Warnings
  • Post your websites in your profile, not when you are answering questions. Yahoo Answers has a policy against posting answers to increase your page views.

on 9/28/2009 STEP ONE do NOT ADVERTISE on Yahoo Answers.

DO NOT TRY TO USE YAHOO ANSWERS to drive traffic to your E-how pages (or blog or website).

Yahoo calls that "solicitation", and it is taken as seriously as simple spamming. It WILL lead to your account being suspended and all your content wiped.

Some people who persisted found even their ISP accounts suspended.

Even if you don't do it on every answer, they will get you for it. Doesn't matter how good the answer is, either.

It IS legit to put your blog/othersites on your About Me.
