How to Use Ant Traps to Kill Ants

If you have a ant problem like I did here are a few tips on how to get rid of ants.

Instructions

1. 

   I was making a sandwich one day and opened a jar of peanut butter and inside the jar there were hundred of small black ants.I do not know how they got in there it was amazing.There was a line of ants going down the wall and out the back door.
   The first thing you need to do is wipe down the trail of ants with a small amount of bleach or vinegar,make sure to dilute it with water.You can also vacuum up the ants and discard the bag after your done.

   Make sure you clean your floors and counter tops of any left over sugar, food crumbs or anything that ants like to eat.
   Ants can dig up soil a round your foundation driveways and travel along crevices into your house. Make sure to inspect all around the outside of your house or apartment for colonies of ants.
   To use a ant trap with ant baits, try and put the ant bait near the ant colonies or trails. If you are going to use a spray insecticide make sure to follow the directions before you spray .Most ants move at night but can be seen during the day.

3. When using ant traps place them under your stove and refrigerator and at the bottom of your shelves.This is where the ants like to travel.The ants will enter the traps and carry the food back to the colonies and this will kill most of the ants.Once I placed the ant traps in about a week I did not see another ant.You can make up a spray bottle of vinegar and water to spray outside along the foundation and patio areas to keep the ants from coming back.

Tips & Warnings

• Be careful when using ant traps if you have pets especially dogs since they like to chew up the plastic body of the traps.
