How to Start a Container Vegetable Garden
Go organic and start a home grown container vegetable garden in a small space. Even if the only area you have to grow a garden is a patio, balcony, even steps. This method works!

Tomato' s, green peppers, lettuce, green beans, turnips are easy to grow even in containers. First select an appropriate size container. Large enough to support the plant once it matures. Also, the container should have a drainage hole in the bottom to prevent root damage. Fill the bottom of the container with rocks or pebbles for proper drainage.

Next, fill the container with fresh potting soil, leaving a few inches at the top. Scoop out some soil and place a vegetable plant inside the container. Press potting soil firmly around the plant. Water generously.

Place the Container in a sunny location. This might be a patio, balcony, or steps. make sure there is a drainage lid under the container to catch water.

Take care of the vegetable plants per instructions that came with the plants. In several weeks or so the plants should start producing vegetables.

Remember to fertilize regularly. And some plants might need staking once they've grown several inches.
