Things You'll Need:
- Texas Toast, eggs, syrup.
-
Step 1
You can use any kind of bread to make your French Toast- Italian, cinnamon-raisin, whole wheat, French, or my favorite Texas Toast. I use a flat griddle but you can use a skillet.
-
Step 2
Beat your eggs in a bowl or a pie plate works very well. Dip the bread one slice at a time into eggs and let soak for a bit to absorb the eggs. Place on hot griddle and brown on one side then the other. you can also add 1/4 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 tsp. vanilla to egg mixture. Some people like to add a little bit of milk also.
-
Step 3
Remove to serving plate and top with cinnamon and sugar or powdered sugar, or just some warm maple syrup. You can make some fun shapes using cookie cutters. For children the shapes make breakfast a little more interesting and more likely to clean their plate. Enjoy!!
