Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- eBay account
- stamps
- envelope
- Patience & Time
-
Step 1
As you are clipping coupons and see coupons that you automatically know that you won’t need put them in a Ziploc or envelope.
-
Step 2
After you do this, sort these by category. Once sorting is complete, start by counting how many “FOOD” item coupons you have.
-
Step 3
You will now want to start creating packs of coupons that are sorted and clipped by using the number of food coupons from Step 2. If you have 100 "ALL FOOD" item coupons you can create a listing for strictly food item coupons (which are the highest sellers) on eBay. If you have less than 100 "ALL FOOD" coupons than you can make up the difference of 100 from the other categories that you have. Continue to create these packs until you have used up all of the coupons from Step 1.
-
Step 4
Once you have your packs together, now you can list them on eBay. Start off by visiting the link in the resources area that is listed as "eBay Coupons Policy".
-
Step 5
Once that is read, go to the tab on the top of eBay's Page that says "Sell" and click "Sell an Item", then a new page will appear with button that says "Sell Your Item". Once that is clicked you will see a page that appears that says "Select a Category" with a search bar. Enter in the search term "coupons" (if they are baby related coupons enter "baby" as a search term) and click "Search".
-
Step 6
Now you should see a list of available categories for your search. Now you will want to select "Inside the Home>Food & Wine>Food Coupons" as your category. Once this is selected click "Continue".
-
Step 7
Next you will want to choose a title for your listing. If it is all food item coupons you will want to enter the following as your title: 100 "ALL FOOD" Coupons all expire after (enter earliest expiration date). Now sometimes the Subtitle is free, if it is, enter some info like 2 BOGO Coupons included or you can total all the savings up and say something like "Over $80 Worth of Savings".
-
Step 8
Now you should see a box that says "Item Specifics". Fill them out to fit what you have on hand. Keep in mind that you are not required to fill these out but an accurate listing is made easy by using this tool.
-
Step 9
Now next step is to post an image for the listing. I usually lay out the coupons that I am selling and take a picture. If you don't have a camera look for a image that you have the rights to use like a dollar sign or cash register to enter as an image. (If you are not using an image that you created, make sure that you have the rights to list on an auction).
-
Step 10
Next you need to write a description of your listing. Make sure you list the exact coupon quantity and the earliest expiration date. Let them know how much savings the pack would bring them. It also is good to list some of the brands that will be included. Make sure that in your listing that you list your return & payment policy. Be clear and concise in this listing so that there will be no misunderstandings.
-
Step 11
Next you have to price your batch of coupons. Your starting price should include the price of the listing and price to ship (which is usually two stamps for a batch of 100 coupons). By including the shipping in the listing starting bid, you can offer free shipping.
-
Step 12
Next fill out the Shipping and Billing info on your listing. First Class Mail is the best to mail your listing. For a package of 100 coupons you will spend around 2 stamps.
