French Toast is great and most people love to eat french toast for breakfast, but you can have french toast as a meal or a snack anytime of the day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Breakfast Bread (cinnamon swirl)
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla extract
  • Skillet
  • Butter
  • Syrup
  1. Step 1

Start with breakfast bread, they are specialty breads that you can also toast, but for this we are going to use them for french toast.

  2. Step 2

In a mixing bowl, add three eggs (serving size is 2 to 4), add 1/4 cup of milk, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix these ingredients together until well blended. Place in a shallow bowl for dipping the bread into.

  3. Step 3

Place a non stick skillet on med-high burner with just enough butter in the pan for seasoning. (Do not let butter burn in skillet)

  4. Step 4

Dip the breakfast bread in the french toast mixture, covering both sides of the bread. Place in hot skillet and brown on both sides. Place french toast on a serving platter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve with butter and syrup for a yummy treat for breakfast or snack.

on 10/3/2009 Thanks for french toast with a twist! I haven't tried the cinnamon swirl but I will. I like to get the thick bread, cut a pocket into it, and stuff it with strawberries. 5* & rec
