Baby shampoo has mainly been used for just babies. But baby shampoo is an extremely gentle soap that can be used for other than just your babies hair.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baby Shampoo
  1. Step 1

Cashmere sweaters can be cleaned with baby shampoos. Now you can skip that trip to the dry cleaners and clean your delicate sweaters yourself with baby shampoo. Add 1 tablespoon of baby shampoo to the delicate cycle of your washer. Then to dry, roll your sweater in a towel and squeeze out the water, reshape and lay flat to dry.

  2. Step 2

Fiberglass bathtubs can safely cleaned with baby shampoo. Baby shampoo can gently scrub away soap scum and mildew. In a bowl combine 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo with a pinch of baking soda, and using a dampened natural sponge to scrub away that bathtub ring.

  3. Step 3

Don't throw away your hair brushes or Velcro rollers. You can save your brushes by placing them in a sink filled with warm water and 1 tablespoon of baby shampoo. Leave them to soak overnight. The gentle detergent will loosen any trapped hair and dirt and ta da, you have new hair brushes again.

  4. Step 4

Baby shampoo can be use as an eye makeup remover. Most women reach for the baby oil to remove eye makeup, but if you are like most who have sensitive eyes, use baby shampoo instead. Apply baby shampoo to a dampened cotton ball or pad and gently rub across the eye area.

  5. Step 5

The gentleness of baby shampoo makes it great for use as a hand wash, as so many of use are now more conscious of passing along germs. Just fill your soap dispenser with one part baby shampoo an two parts water. Swirl and you are ready to wash those hands.

on 7/30/2009 I had no idea there were so many uses for baby shampoo. As an adult I use when I give my dogs a bath, it is gentle and does not sting their eyes. Plus it costs far less then dog shampoo. Thanks for all the useful tips.
