- 6 ounces spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan

- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1-8 ounce can chipped tomatoes
- 1-6 ounce can tomatoe paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon oregano, crushed
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Step 1
To make this easy and delicious Spaghetti Pie recipe start by cooking the spaghetti according to package directions; drain the water off when the spaghetti is cooked. Stir in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine into the hot spaghetti. Stir in 1/3 cup parmesan cheese and two well-beaten eggs. The spaghetti mixture will form the crust. Form the spaghetti into a buttered 10-inch pie plate.

This pie has lots of good vegetablesWhile the spaghetti is cooking chop up onion and green pepper. In a skillet cook the 1 pound of ground beef, 1/2 cup chopped onion, and 1/4 cup green pepper till vegetables are tender and the meat is browned. Drain off the excess fat. Stir in 1-8 ounce can chopped up tomatoes, 1-6 ounce can tomatoes paste, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teaspoon oregano(crushed),and 1 teaspoon garlic salt.

Spread 1 cup of cottage cheese over the top of the spaghetti crust. Fill the pie with the tomato mixture. Bake uncovered in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese on the top; and bake 5 minutes longer or until the cheese melts. Serves 6.
