Perfume can be used to give you a sweet smell while going out for a night on the town. There might come a time, however, when you place too much perfume on your skin. Chances are that soap and water will not remove the perfume smell from your skin. This can be extremely aggravating, especially if you---or your significant other---are not a fan of the perfume scent. By using items you may have in your home, you can remove perfume smell from your skin.

Begin by thoroughly rinsing the portion of skin filled with the perfume smell. Regardless of which of the following methods you choose to use, you must first rinse the skin before attempting to remove the perfume smell. You should rinse the area with cool but comfortable water for about 60 seconds. Use a hand towel to dry your skin.

Mix half a cup of baking soda with half a cup of warm water. Mix the two ingredients until they form a paste. Then, rub the paste over your skin. Allow it to sit for about ten minutes and then rinse your skin thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Try rinsing your skin with white vinegar. Pour about a cup of the white vinegar into a bowl. Dip a cotton ball into the vinegar until it is entirely soaked. Rub the soaked cotton ball over your skin. You may need to use a few cotton balls, depending on how much skin is covered in perfume. Allow the vinegar to sit on your skin for five to 10 minutes. Rinse your skin with lukewarm water, and wash your skin with a bath soap or body wash.

Use olive oil to remove perfume smell from skin. Soak a cotton ball with the olive oil, and gently rub the cotton ball over your skin. Rinse the olive oil off with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Wash the area and your sink with soap and warm water to remove the olive oil.

Attempt to remove perfume smell with unflavored vodka. Pour a half cup of the vodka into a bowl. Soak the cotton swabs with the vodka and then rub the soaked swab over your skin. Wait five minutes, and rinse the vodka from your skin. Remove the vodka smell using soap and warm water.
