Launch Nero 9. Click the "Rip and Burn" tab.

Select "Video Disc." A new express window will open. Click the "Videos/Pictures" button on the left tray.

Click "Super Video CD," then click "Add." Locate your AVI video file, then click "Add" to load it into your program. Click the "Close" button when you are done adding your files.

Click "Next." Set a DVD menu if you want. Click the background and text buttons to add features to your DVD menu.

Click "Next" when you are done, then name your DVD in the "Disc Name" category. Set the number of copies you want to burn, then click "Burn" to convert the AVI to DVD format.
