YouTube, Metacafe, Google Video, Dailymotion, are some of th many websites that provide countless hours of flash video entertainment right at the user's fingertips. However, sometimes the sites are down or internet connection is faulty, or that one video is just played too often that the user might want to bypass the site and download the video directly. Luckily, there are a few programs that allow for that. This article will go over a few programs that download flash movies and how to use them.

Things You'll Need

• Computer with Internet
• FLV Downloader or RealPlayer

Instructions

1. Do Internet research about the details of copyright laws pertaining to copying flash movies. While both the programs needed for copying flash movies are perfectly legal, there are grey zones as to what can be downloaded and who can view these films.

2. Download one of two programs: FLV downloader or RealPlayer. RealPlayer is more of a multimedia tool, like Windows Media Player, and has more uses than just downloading flash movies but can only be played on the RealPlayer program. FLV is a much lighter tool to use and is more universal.

3. Follow the steps on the program. When it's all downloaded and installed, go to whatever flash movie. Point the mouse arrow over the screen and a little pop-up will appear on one side of the screen. Click on the pop-up and wait for the download.

4. Play the movie!

Tips & Warnings

• Some flash movies cannot be copied, such as those on hulu.com or nbc.com, because of copyright violations rather than a fault in the program.

• Do not use the programs to procure films for public viewing. Proper steps to ensure the rights of the artist must be taken in order to avoid a criminal felony.
