Things You'll Need:
- Garden shovel
- Garden gloves
- Jasmine cuttings
- Ripened compost
-
Step 1
Plant your jasmine semi-ripened wood cutting in a well drained soil. Jasmine grows best in warm climates, but also grows well in glasshouses if the outside air is cold.
-
Step 2
Dig a hole in the soil and plant the cutting just under the surface of the soil. Cover the cutting with the soil and slightly pat it down with your hand or the back of the shovel.
-
Step 3
Enrich the soil with a very ripened compost. Mix up a batch of your own using leftover fruits and vegetables, and leaf and grass cuttings.
-
Step 4
Watch closely for pests and diseases which can attack the jasmine plants growing in the glasshouse. Jasmine growing outdoors usually do not present with pest problems.
-
Step 5
Water your jasmine plants frequently (every third day) especially in hot weather. Jasmine is slightly drought tolerant and can survive with less watering, but the leaves and flowers will droop if the soil is allowed to dry out too much.
