How to Remove a Zone Alarm Password

Zone Alarm is a popular "All-in-one" security application for Window's computers. The program bundles virus, malware, adware and spyware protection with a firewall for your computer. It is available for purchase online through the website listed in Resources below as well as through other online distributors. A task that arises for users of Zone Alarm is resetting zone and program passwords for the Zone Alarm program installed on your computer without losing other configuration settings.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Administrator access to your computer.
  1. Step 1

    Reboot your computer in Window's safe mode by rapidly depressing the keyboard "F8" function key during the rebooting process.

  2. Step 2

    Navigate your Window's Explorer to the "Windows\Internet Logs" folder on your computer's local drive by left clicking My Computer>Your Computer's Local Drive (Normally labeled the C Drive).

  3. Step 3

    Delete all files that end in the .rdb file extension.

  4. Step 4

    Restart your computer and open Zone Alarm. It will no longer have any passwords associated with the program.
