How to Donate Diabetes Supplies

If you no longer need your diabetes equipment because you've upgraded, you can donate them. There are several organizations that accept used diabetes equipment.

      Islet of Hope's website has links to diabetes organizations that accept supplies.

      You can donate your diabetes pumps to iPump, an online resource and nonprofit that distributes used pumps at no cost. Its only requirement is that the pumps aren't so old that support is no longer available for them. Ipump also offers a directory of organizations that accept used diabetes supplies.

      Call a local health organization. You can find one through your local city hall. Ask for organizations that accept diabetes supplies.

      Contact the American Diabetes Association. It can provide local organizations in your area and provide tips for donating your supplies. They can be reached at (800) DIABETES (800-342-2383).

      If you have a diabetic friend or family member, them her your supplies.
