1
Sweep or spray all the large debris off the epoxy floor. If you are working on a patio or in a garage that will drain easily, then you can use a hose to prerinse the floor and wash large pieces of debris like leaves and clumps of dirt out of the garage. If you are not cleaning a floor with good drainage, then sweep the debris out with a broom instead.

2
Mix your cleaning solution. Add 1/3 cup of pH-neutral dish soap to 1 gallon of water. The water can be warm or cool. Mix it up using your mop.

3
Mop the epoxy floor. Use the rayon mop. The rayon will not snag on any uneven areas the way cotton will, and your floor will be smooth and shiny when you are done.
-
4
Scrub any stains or hard-to-get areas with the scrub brush. It should have soft bristles. A brush with hard bristles will actually scrub dirt into the floor and scratch the epoxy.
-
5
Squeegee off any excess water. This will prevent mold and mildew, as well as the formation of mud the next time someone walks across your floor.

Epoxy is tough stuff, but you still need to be gentle. Make sure that you are working with gentle soaps that will not eat away at the epoxy and scrubbing materials that are not abrasive.
