- Scrub brush
- Household cleaning solution
- Hard water remover, such as petroleum jelly

Determine how the tile area has been affixed to decide whether it will tolerate water.

Vacuum large areas, such as stair risers and ceilings. Dust smaller items, from tabletops to plates.

Tile-topped oak tableWipe with wet rags, rinsing often.

Scrub gently with a brush if grout is dirty or stains remain after wiping.

Spray on household cleaner if stains persist. Wipe clean.

Tile, wallpaper and paint designDry thoroughly to remove any cleaner or water spots.
