Roaches are a disgusting fact of living in humid regions. While the Australian Roach is similar to the American Roach, it is not as big in size, measuring 1.25 inches at most. Regardless, however, you want roaches out and you want them dead. Since roaches are able to live exceptional periods of time without their heads, it is important to take multiple steps to cut off cockroaches' food & water supply in addition to killing them directly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vacuum
  • Lysol
  • Broom
  • Tightly sealed plastic containers
  • Tightly sealed garbage can
  • Sink plugs
  • CB 80 extra spray powder
  1. Step 1

Put all opened food, such as chips, cookie, cereal, in tightly sealed plastic containers. As disgusting as it sounds, roaches are able to get into the packaging. Placing food in plastic containers cuts off one form of their food supply.

  2. Step 2

Purchase a tightly sealed, plastic garbage can. Cutting off cockroaches ability to get into the garbage will cut them off from more of their food supply.

  3. Step 3

Sweep and vacuum twice a day, specifically after meals. Any crumbs you can remove from your home will be key in killing off cockroaches through starvation.

  4. Step 4

Pour Lysol into toilet bowls at night. Cockroaches drink toilet water to stay hydrated. By drinking the Lysol you will kill them off, or in the case of really strong roaches, dehydrate and dry them out.

  5. Step 5

Place sink plugs in all open drains. Cockroaches will crawl down them for water. This cuts off another of their hydrating spots.

  6. Step 6

Spray the powder version of CB 80 Extra throughout home. This spray-powder pesticide will be most toxic and lasting, killing off the roaches.
