- Pot
- Potting soil
- Water
- Gravel
- Drill

Prepare your container. Make sure it has plenty of drainage. If it doesn't, drill a few more holes in the bottom. Place the container in a sunny spot.

Add a layer of gravel to the bottom of the pot. This will help the water drain out of the soil and prevent the soil from staying too wet. Add a loose, well-drained soil to the pot.

Put your lavender plant into the center of the pot. Add a scoop of compost to the soil before inserting the plant. Fill in the area around the plant with more soil.

Water your new plant thoroughly. Make sure the water is draining well. Continue to water whenever the soil is dry. Do not let it dry completely.

Repot your lavender each year, adding a time-release fertilizer.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a pot that is large enough for the root ball, but with a few extra inches around it. Don't get a container that is too big, because lavender likes to grow in tight spots.
