Bathing suits are seen all throughout summer. Learning to create a vector swimsuit can be useful for summer artwork, beach party invitations and pool parties. In a few steps, you can create a vector bathing suit in different colors and patterns.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vector based program, such as Adobe Illustrator
  • Photo reference (optional)
  1. Step 1

Select on your pen tool. Start by drawing the basic bathing suit shape. It should curve in a bit for as much of an hour glass shape as you'd like, then into a triangular shape at the bottom. Repeat onto the other side. Try to get it as symmetrical as you can.

  2. Step 2

Draw the straps and connect the shapes. You can create a v neck as in the example image or a boxy or circular shape if you'd like.

  3. Step 3

    Select a color.

  4. Step 4

    Select a pattern, if desired.

  5. Step 5

Add a gradient to make the bathing suit more lively.

Tips & Warnings
  • Play with the shape of your bathing suit. You can create it for a very thin and tall person or a short person or a big build.
