Step 1
There are many franchises in the cleaning industry and mostly for owner/operators. An owner/operator is the name given to the kind of franchisee that does the work themselves. For instance, an owner/operator residential cleaner as a franchisee, does the cleaning, quoting and administration. Owner/operators exist in the residential and commercial side of cleaning as well as window and external house cleaning.
Step 1: What happens when you purchase an owner/operator franchise? You have been granted the right to use the franchisor’s name and system. This allows you to call on the franchisor’s knowledge and experience.
Many cleaning franchises have been in operation for years and over that time have built up a good reputation. When you purchase one of these franchises you can be sure that you will obtain work because of the name, and you will be given training on how to run the business and do the cleaning. -
Step 2
STEP 2: Here are some things you should check when looking for a cleaning franchise. Make sure the franchisor has a system for cleaning; that their logo and/or name are registered. Have they a marketing plan you can follow? Will you receive training? These might sound trivial, but if you are purchasing a franchise they are important. Even if one of these factors are missing you should be avoiding that cleaning franchise and looking elsewhere.

Step 3
STEP 3: Remember you are making an investment when you purchase a franchise. You need to know how long it will take to get a return on that investment. A good franchisor will be able to explain all this to you and provide you with proof.
Cleaning can be a very profitable business providing it is operated well. It has low overheads and can offer a comfortable life style. If you are in the market for a cleaning franchise, remember to look for the organisation where you won’t have to worry about how you will find the work or if you will earn enough to pay the bills. Most cleaning franchises will be worth buying but there are some that are not. Do your homework and avoid the bad ones.
