Make a Great Taco Dip W/tortilla Chips/nachos

Taco dip is excellent for any occasion or just for a filling snack. Add chips and its just unbelievably good. I use it for barbecues or any other occasion I have guests. Its a big hit.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tortilla chips
  • refried beans
  • sour cream(optional)
  • cream cheese
  • shredded cheese
  • tomatoes (optional)
  • black olives (optional)
  • taco seasoning
  • garlic powder or garlic
  1. Step 1

Spread one can of refried beans on bottom of large pan or casserole dish.

  2. Step 2

In a separate bowl mix cream cheese ( put in microwave for 45 seconds to soften) and taco seasoning packet together. Stir together.

  3. Step 3

Add minced garlic or garlic powder to taste. Spoon mixture over refried beans.

  4. Step 4

Chop up onions, olives, and tomatoes and spread on top of cream cheese mixture.

  5. Step 5

Place in oven for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Take dip out of oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. bake for another five minutes or until cheese is all melted.

  6. Step 6

Add sour cream if you like it. Dip with tortilla chips. Its a great dip. It is definitely filling.

  7. Step 7

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • for a healthier dip use 2% or fat free cheddar cheese, reduced fat cream cheese, light sour cream and black beans instead of refried beans. I don't think it tastes AS good but its still a good dip!
