raise Christian Children in a Sick World

I do not know one Christian parent that is not concerned about the difficulty of raising their children in this very difficult world. There must be a solution to this burdensome issue.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • faith
  • trust
  • bible
  1. Step 1

    # 1: You must ensure that your walk with Christ is solid. Solid means sincere and continuously growing and developing. The first example of who Jesus Christ is will be YOU! If your walk with Christ is loose and sloppy, then your children will most likely follow the same path.

  2. Step 2

#2: You must teach your children how to live as a Christian in a sinful world. This means you need to teach them early (1 yrs old) how to pray, say grace, respect authority, how to be responsible, who God is, how He is manifested in a tangible way, and how to relate to an invisible God.

  3. Step 3

#3: You must continue to train your children as they grow and develop. Take teachable moments when it comes to deciding whether your child should participate in worldly events or display that they are a true Christian in word and deed. Please, do not compromise the Gospel, the word of God. If you compromise, then you teach your child to be inconsistent and live as a hypocrite.

  4. Step 4

#4. Guard your children and teach them how to handle the lures of the world. You must screen the t. v.. shows that they watch. You must monitor their use of the internet. You must monitor the type of music that they listen to. Provide them with wholesome alternatives without compromising the Bible. Help your children learn how to choose God over the world through the everyday choices that they make about clothing, music, entertainment, etc..

Tips & Warnings
  • Never compromise your biblical standards even if your children have an attitude of rebellion against you.
