The best size for deep frying a turkey is anywhere from ten to twenty pounds. The turkey should be left out for a few days in advance to allow it to completely thaw out before you deep fry a turkey.

Like any turkey, you need to remove giblet and neck and discard before preparing the turkey. Unlike a traditional turkey you can not stuff with anything.

The best thing you can do however is inject the turkey itself with marinade and this will help keep it moist and flavorful when the turkey comes out of the deep fryer.

You will need a large pot and fill it with peanut oil. Heat the oil until it reaches around 350 degrees.

Tie your turkey legs to the turkey stand that comes with most turkey deep fryers. If not, get one so that you can lower the turkey into the stand and remove it safely.

The turkey should sit in the deep fryer for three minutes per pound. Check the turkey when the time is up that the deep fried turkey should be 190 degrees.

Using a towel or gloves remove the turkey from the deep fryer once it is at the correct temperature and let it sit above the deep fryer so that the oil drips back into the pot. Turn the heat off to the pot.

After the bulk of the oil is off of the turkey place it on paper towels to help more oil come off.

Let the deep fried turkey sit for about fifteen minutes and then you are ready to carve.
