Things You'll Need:
- Queen or full size flat bedsheet.
- Sewing machine.
- Tension rod.
-
Step 1
First shop on-line or at discount stores for a flat queen sized sheet. I found green and white striped sheets and used one for the curtains and another for window coverings. My comforter was a similar plain green so everything looked very coordinated.
-
Step 2
Unfold and lay out your sheet. There is usually a nice big hem at the "top" of each sheet. Use that hem to make your pocket.
-
Step 3
Make sure the top hemmed portion is open on either side to accommodate a curtain rod. If not, snip the threads that close the sides to create an opening.
-
Step 4
Next, use your sewing machine to make another seam about 1/4 inch below the top fold. This will give you a nice full look at the top.
-
Step 5
Shower Tension Rod.Now it's time to hang your sheet! Run the tension rod through your sheet pocket. Hang your tension rod slightly outside of and above your regular plastic shower curtain so that the sheet hangs to the floor. The tension on your rod should be tight enough so the curtain doesn't slip.
