Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Posterboard
  • Markers
  • Blue paper
  • Blue streamers
  • Blue balloons
  • Clear balloons
  • Green streamers
  • Electric bubble blower
  • Brown paper or carpet
  • Seashells
  • Starfish
  • Coral
  • Small boats
  • Small surfboards
  • Large appliance boxes
  1. Step 1

Put up a "Bikini Bottom" sign. Bikini Bottom is the name of the underwater world where SpongeBob lives. Place the sign at the entrance to the party.

  2. Step 2

Recreate the sea. "SpongeBob SquarePants" takes place in the ocean. Capture that setting by lining the room with blue paper. Make waves with blue streamers. Use blue balloons or bubble wrap to create bubbles. Make giant fish cutouts for the walls. You can even create an octopus with a balloon body and streamers for the arms.

  3. Step 3

Make special sea entrances. Hang green streamers to make seaweed or place an electric bubble blower outside the entrance to the party.

  4. Step 4

Recreate the ocean floor. Line the floor in brown paper or brown carpet to look like sand. Place seashells, starfish and coral all around the room.

  5. Step 5

Make it seems as if you are under water. Hang small boats or surfboards from the ceiling to make it look as if you are down below.

  6. Step 6

Make your ocean look more like Bikini Bottom. Use large appliance boxes to recreate the Krusty Krab or SpongeBob's pineapple house, and there will be no mistaking your land beneath the sea for any place else.
