Though impotence is more common among older men, it does affect men of all ages. Teenage impotence occurs when teenage men are unable to sustain erections or successfully ejaculate. Teenage impotence can be caused by a range of issues, such as hormonal imbalances, drug use and stress. Thankfully, there are various things you can do to help cure teenage impotence. Be diligent in your treatment methods and you'll experience positive results over time.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

See a doctor. Your doctor can help you determine the cause of your impotence. In some instances, your doctor may run hormone tests to detect hormonal imbalances. If your impotence is due to hormonal imbalances, your doctor may prescribe medication to stabilize your hormone levels.

  2. Step 2

Do not use any non-prescribed medications. Drug use, particularly steroid use, is often linked to teenage impotence. If you are using any drugs that have not been prescribed by your doctor, stop immediately.

  3. Step 3

Relax. Stress can cause impotence. Aim to bring calm into your life by practicing breathing and meditation exercises. Reduce extraneous stress from your life by simplifying your schedule, if possible.

  4. Step 4

Sleep. Lack of sleep can cause teenage impotence and other sexual issues. Aim for at least seven hours of sleep nightly to ensure healthy sexual function.

  5. Step 5

Avoid cigarettes and alcohol. The nicotine in cigarettes narrows your blood vessels, decreasing circulation. As a result, getting and maintaining an erection is more difficult if you smoke. Alcohol impairs hormone levels, often causing and exacerbating teenage impotence.

  6. Step 6

See a mental health professional. Sometimes, teenage impotence may be due to psychological issues teens have about sex. By discussing your impotence with a mental health professional, you may be able to get to the root of the issue and effectively solve it.

Tips & Warnings
