A great way to celebrate your baby's arrival is by decorating its room or nursery. Decorate your baby's room with a tropical beach theme. Paint the walls in an ocean-inspired aqua or light blue shade, or create a beach mural. Purchase "beachy" bedding that features items such as sand castles, sand buckets and seahorses. If you are creative, paint boring wooden furniture with beach scenes. Use stencils to create seashells and palm trees on your baby's crib and dresser.

Choose a farm animal theme. All children love animals, so surround your baby with stuffed cows, horses, sheep and other farm friends. Buy farm-inspired bedding, and paint a farm mural on one or a few of the nursery walls. Visit a local farm, and hang framed pictures of real farm animals.

Relax your baby with a cloud theme. Paint the nursery walls in a sky-blue hue, and using a sponge and white paint, create "clouds." Choose light blue and white bedding and fluffy white rugs. You can also incorporate angels and sheep into the decor. Hang a mobile featuring clouds, rainbows, airplanes or any other object found in the sky, above the crib.

For a gender-neutral room, decorate with a fun and vintage "Peter Rabbit" theme. Choose decor inspired by Beatrix Potter's "The Tale of Peter Rabbit," a popular children's book. Buy "Peter Rabbit" bedding, and display the books on a bookshelf. Use stick-on decals or stencils and paint to display the "Peter Rabbit" characters on the nursery walls. Choose furniture items in soft, warm shades, which are reflective of the book's illustrations.
