Many new parents create baby gift registries to help those who want to buy presents for the baby shower, a party that happens before the baby is born. Modern baby showers began after World War II, according to ezinearticles.com. Parents have often done a lot of research into which items they add to their registry, so it's a nice gesture to follow what the registry lists. Now, find a baby registry so you can buy the new baby the perfect gift.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Name of expectant mother or father
  1. Step 1

If you know which stores or websites the expecting parents have registered with, start by visiting those websites and using the gift registry search tool provided.

  2. Step 2

If the stores or websites aren't known, search by the mother's and/or father's name and the words "baby registry" or "baby gift" in a search engine such as Yahoo! or Google.

  3. Step 3

Popular baby registry sites include Babies R Us and big-box stores such as Target or Wal-Mart, so check those stores' online registries, too.

Tips & Warnings
  • If all else fails, ask the mother-to-be or someone close to her where she has registered.
