How to Convert DVD to M4V

M4V is a video format mostly used with iPods. A DVD must be converted to an M4V file in order to view it on your iPod. The DVD Ripper is the best program for that conversion.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • DVD-ROM
  • DVD
  • DVD Ripper software
  1. Step 1

    Download and install DVD Ripper. A link can be found below in the Resources section.

  2. Step 2

    Open DVD Ripper. Once open, insert a DVD into the DVD-ROM drive.

  3. Step 3

    Click "Add..." and select the DVD drive. This will load the DVD files into the program.

  4. Step 4

    Click the "Settings" button and change the "format preset" to M4V. Then, press "OK".

  5. Step 5

    Click "Start" in the lower right corner. This will convert the files.
