You put a cute iron-on patch over the hole in your daughter's jeans, but after a few trips through the washing machine, it starts to peel off. Rather than yank it off and apply another one, there are several easy ways to adhere it once again.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Trim the stray thread poking out from under the patch. Place the jean leg on the ironing board, patch side up. Cut a piece of the clean patching material ¼-inch larger than the original patch. Follow manufacturer's instructions to adhere the patch to the fabric.

  2. Step 2

Put a scrap of material the size of the hole and patch inside the jean leg. Put several drops of fabric glue between the peeling patch and the jean fabric. It will also adhere to the scrap fabric. Follow manufacturer's instructions to adhere the peeling patch to the jeans and under the fabric.

  3. Step 3

Place a small embroidery hoop under and over the jean material. The peeling patch should be centered in the hoop. Use coordinating thread to hand stitch the patch back down to the jean fabric.
