    How to Make Baby Clothes

  1. Step 1

Find a pattern. Wal-Mart and Target carry patterns, or shop online at websites such as SewBaby.com. Pattern makers can create something based on your idea, but you need to sketch your design on paper. The sketch does not have to be a work of art, but it will help the pattern maker visualize what you want.

  2. Step 2

Visit a fabric store with a variety.

  3. Step 3

Place the fabric on a flat surface. Take the pattern and secure it to the top of the fabric with pins from your sewing kit. Cut around the pattern's outline while it is secured to the top of the fabric.

  4. Step 4

Remove the pins. After reading the pattern's sewing instructions, sew the sections of fabric together.

  5. Step 5

Dress your baby in his new outfit.
