1
Decorate eggs to hide outside. Apply craft glue to the top half of the plastic egg, and apply green or other colored yarn that matches flowers or plants in your yard. Use green glitter, sequins, etc. This helps makes the appearance eye-catching, but helps the egg blend into the grass or flowers as well.

Find stickers at a local craft store such as Michael's. Choose Easter-themed stickers, with bunnies, crosses, jellybeans, carrots or pastel colors. Stick them at various angles on the plastic Easter eggs. These add a fun touch with a holiday theme to the eggs.

Glue feathers to the sides of the eggs with craft glue, adding a few sequins at the bottom of the feather. This creates a fun, interesting contrast from the hard plastic surface of the egg and the soft, light appearance of the feather. You can hide these eggs outside as well, since the feather will stick up and help give a sign that an egg is there during the hunt.

4
Create patterns on the eggs with sequins and glitter. Make zig-zag shapes with the glue and sprinkle sequins and glitter over these, to create a pattern on the egg. The point is to make the eggs bright, fun and attractive.

5
Paint designs, cartoons, shapes or scenes on the eggs, such as Jesus Christ and a cross, other religious images, candies, sunrises, little bunnies hopping and eating carrots or pastel hearts and smiles. Add embellishments such as beads, felt or charms.
