Refresh your tired feet in a relaxing lavender salt foot bath. A nice soak will warm the feet and improve circulation. The smell of lavender and the sensation of a warm foot soak can do a wonderful job of reducing stress and allowing you to create your own mini spa environment in the privacy of your home at a fraction of the cost.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Lavender Essential Oils
  • Sea Salt, Salt, or Epsom Sea Salt
  • Warm Water
  • Tea Tree Oil (Optional)
  • Soft Towel
  1. Step 1

    Fill a small tub, small container, or a bath with enough warm water to cover the feet.

  2. Step 2

    Add 2 to 10 drops of lavender essential oil to the bath.

  3. Step 3

    Add several teaspoons, 2 to 4, to a small bath or 1/2 a cup to a bathtub.

  4. Step 4

    (Optional) Add 1 to 4 drops of tea tree oil depending on the amount of water in the bath, tea tree oil anti-fungal.

  5. Step 5

    Mix the water, essential oils, and salts thoroughly.

  6. Step 6

    Soak tired feet for 5 to 15 minutes. Dry feet with a soft towel when finished soaking.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tea Tree oil and lavender have anti-fungal properties.
  • This soak can be multiplied and used for a refreshing & relaxing bath too.
  • Drawing a hard-working spouse a refreshing lavender foot bath is a nice, kind gesture that can promote love, reduce stress, and increase relaxation.
  • Lavender and tea tree oil can be purchased at a local natural or organic store, in some grocery stores, and over the internet.
  • Do not use any ingredients in a foot soak that can cause an allergic reaction.

on 5/26/2009 I love the smell of lavender too. If your feet are really dry, just leave out the salt. The lavender and salt can act act an antifungal which is a great benefit too. God bless.
