Does the sting of a summer sunburn have you down?

Fret no more. Here you will find out how to naturally treat that painful redness and stinging.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Cooling Easing Tannins

Tea contains tannins that are known to help naturally relieve the painful after effects of a sunburn.

Boil some water and make a strong pot of tea - preferrably black or green tea. Allow the tea to cool to an easily handleable temperature. Place a clean dry cloth into the tea, wring it out slightly, then place it on the sunburned area of skin. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Repeat as needed.

  2. Step 2

    Apple Cider Vinegar Awe

Pick up some apple cidar vinegar and dump some on a clean soft rag. Place the rag on your sunburn and let sit for several minutes, turning as needed to keep the rag cool. This can be repeated as necessary.

You can also add the vinegar to a spray bottle and spritz it over the sunburnt skin to provide some cooling relief from the heat of the sun inspired skin burn.

  3. Step 3

    Aloe Vera Amazement

Purchase a good sized Aloe Vera plant from your local garden center or plant your own. Snap off one of the leaves and squeeze out the creamy goo from the center. This can be applied directly onto the skin affected by the pain of a sunburn and will cool the skin removing the unwanted sting.

  4. Step 4

    Water Ways

Drink plenty of water. A sunburn pulls the moisture from your skin leaving it dry, sore and easily damaged. Keeping your body hydrated will help push moisture back into your skin and help speed up the healing process.

  5. Step 5

    Moisturizing Goodness

Smear on a good layer of plain yogurt. This will help put some moisture back into your skin and help cool your overly heated skin. Leave it on for a few minutes and them remove with some clean cool water.
