    A daily journal can be helpful in documenting events, thoughts, or daily living. Any one can begin a journal at any time. You can record your life experiences in a journal and keep it in a safe place away from others. Many authors, journalists, and publicists keep accurate journal records. However, you don't have to be a well known person to start your very own journal.

    A journal can be helpful in expressing innermost thoughts, your deepest feelings, desires and even your observations and opinions. Keeping a journal could help us understand people better and may assist in getting you trough troubled times. Recording daily events can actually be therapeutic in many ways. In addition, your private journal is something that you look at in the future.

    If you have memorable events such as, graduation, birthdays, romances, and achievements, these events are worth documenting. Remember, it is your journal and should be kept private unless you feel the need to share. To get started, all you need is to purchase a journal type writing book, make sure you put the date at the top of each entry. Dates can serve a significance for some time in the distant future.
