How to Host a Kindergarten Reunion

Host a Kindergarten Reunion

I began teaching kindergarten in 1995, so I got to see my first group of kindergartners become seniors in high school. I held a class reunion for my former students their senior year. Follow these tips to help create a fun night for you and your kindergarten alumni.

Instructions

Hold the reunion in your classroom. Be sure to tell your administrators what you are doing and ask them whether or not you need a permit. I asked all the families to bring a dessert and some drinks and held the event at 7 p.m. so that I would not have to order dinner for everyone.

Have each student make a pennant for the college they will be attending the following year. They love that!

    • 3

Take a whole class picture with your former students.

Try to recreate some pictures from kindergarten. Here is a picture from 1996 on the left and 2009 on the right with the same kids!

Enjoy this evening because it will be one of the most rewarding nights of your teaching career.

Oh, this is such a cute idea! I'll have to pass it on to my teacher friends.
