Step 1
First, pay attention to food and drinks that stain your teeth. These include; coffee, very dark teas, dark color sodas and chocolates. Reducing or avoiding these products can help your teeth get whiter. Try to substitute these foods with fresh fruits and vegetables during snack time.

Step 2
Second, brush your teeth several times a day. Brush really well for two to three minutes each time. Use a tooth paste with “bleaching” ingredients to brush.
Alternatively, you can use a “teeth whitening” gel. These gels contain peroxide which has been found to make teeth color lighter. The gel can be purchased at stores and pharmacies without a prescription. Tooth paste brands like, Colgate and Crest also make the gels. Follow the product instructions. -
Step 3
Lastly, increase your daily calcium and fluoride intake. Calcium will make your teeth stronger, but this mineral has been found to make them whiter as well. Drink fruit and vegetable juices high in calcium. Carrots and green leafy vegetables are both rich in this mineral. Also, get enough fluoride, this can be found in the toothpastes you use.
