How to Get a Hotsync Playlist Onto a Palm Treo 700
The Palm Treo 700 is another in a long line of smart phones designed by Palm. The Treo 700 puts the power of a laptop in the palm of your hand and allows you to access the Internet, keep track of important dates, make memos and even listen to music. All these files can be transferred very simply from your computer to your phone. This is referred to as "hotsyncing." Use this article as a guide as you hotsync a playlist of MP3 files onto your Palm Treo 700.

Use the CD that came inside the box with your Palm Treo 700 to install the Palm Desktop software. This software is what you will use to transfer files from your computer to your Palm device. Place the CD in your computer's CD-ROM drive and follow the on screen instructions.

Start up the Palm Desktop software. You can do this by double clicking on its icon on your desktop.

Use the included USB link cable to connect your Palm Treo 700 to your computer. Simply plug one end of the cable into the Palm and the other end into a free USB port on your computer.

Use the Palm Desktop software to select files you want to hotsync to your Palm Treo 700. In this case, you'd be selecting your playlist of MP3 files from wherever it is located on your computer's hard drive.

Click the "Sync" button at the bottom of the main program window. This will take any files you've selected and transfer them via the USB link cable to your Palm Treo 700.
