How to Make Your Own Princess Party Wand Invitations
Many young children are fascinated by fairy tales and magical themes. Young girls will often choose to celebrate their birthday parties using princess themes. For one day, they get to dress up like magical fairy tale princesses and play games and eat treats with their friends. Princess parties need not be expensive though. Making your own party wand invitations is cost-effective and provides a sense of magic to those invited. It is a special and unique way to personalize the invitation and promise fun. Use Microsoft Word or another word processing program to write the invitation. Write the party details as though you were telling a fairy tale. "Once upon a time, there lived a lovely princess. Once a year, she threw a marvelous ball. You are invited to join her at ..." Alternatively, you could say "Princess ... requests the company of her fellow princess companions for a wonderful ball at ..."

Find an attractive clip art picture of a wand and place it to the right of the writing on the invitation. Leave an area at the bottom of the invitation for RSVP information.

Make sure the printed invitation is small. You will probably have to cut it down to a smaller size. A cost-effective way to do this is to lay it out on your computer so that two or three written invitations can be printed on every A4 sized piece of paper.

Using glitter glue, decorate the invitation. Use different colors for the writing and the wand.

Buy a cheap packet of small wands. These can be found at party stores and some discount stores.

Puncture a hole in the corner of the printed invitation and use curling ribbon to tie it to the wand.
