Instructions

    • 1

Add ¼ cup powdered sugar to a medium-size mixing bowl. Add 1 tsp. baby shampoo to the sugar and combine with a whisk. Stir for 1 to 2 minutes to fully combine the ingredients.

    • 2

Add about ¼ cup water to the sugar mixture and stir until a thick paste is formed. If the mask is still too thick, add water 1 tsp. at a time until the desired consistency is achieved.

    • 3

Rub the skin exfoliating facial mask, which should have a grainy texture at this stage, onto your face. Rub in small circles to help the granules penetrate the skin and pores.

    • 4

Allow the mask to remain on the skin for 5 minutes, and then rinse clean with warm water and a washcloth. Move the cloth in a circular motion over your face to remove the entire mask.

    • 5

Rinse your face with cold water to close the pores after the skin exfoliation mask has been removed. This will prevent dirt and debris from entering the pores and undoing the deep cleansing you just performed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Make a fresh batch of skin exfoliating facial mask for each application. This recipe makes enough for a single treatment. Repeat this treatment weekly for best results. In the winter, or anytime skin is prone to dryness, repeat up to once daily. If redness of the skin occurs after rinsing off the mask, apply a gentle moisturizer.
