How to Service a Toshiba Copier Machine
A Toshiba copier machine is an excellent tool to have at the office or at home. Designed to make multiple copies of the same thing very quickly, one can be invaluable when making memos or form letters or any other kind of mass mailing you may need. If your Toshiba copier machine starts to function improperly, there are a variety of things you can do to get it back on track.

1
Remove your ink cassettes. If your Toshiba copier machine is illuminating the "misfeed" light but there doesn't seem to be any paper stuck anywhere inside the machine itself, it could be that your ink cassettes are inserted improperly. This is a problem specific to Toshiba brand copy machines due to the location of the paper sensor---if your ink cassettes are inserted improperly it can cause the sensor to falsely identify a paper jam when one is not present. Open the copier's front cover and remove both ink cassettes. On a Toshiba brand copy machine these are stacked on top of each other, as opposed to most other kinds of copiers where they can be found side by side. Use their handles to pull them out of their slots. Check behind them for any jammed paper, and also check to make sure paper has been loaded into the paper trays correctly. Push the cassettes back into place and close the front cover. This will clear the copier's memory, which will clear the "misfeed" light.

2
Fix a paper jam. If paper gets stuck in your Toshiba copier machine during use, open the front cover of the machine and pull out on the release lever. This will give you access to the inner workings of the copier machine, which will allow you to see if paper is stuck anywhere it shouldn't be. If it is, remove the paper using your hands, seal the machine back up and try copying again.

Stop jams. If your Toshiba copier machine seems to jam up every time you use it, open the machine's front cover and check to make sure the paper is loaded into the machine properly. If the paper is in the paper trays incorrectly, it could cause the machine to draw paper in ways it shouldn't, which could lead to a jam every time the machine is in use.

Check your Toshiba copier machine's power source. If you find that there seems to be no power being supplied to the copier, check to make sure the copier is plugged in. Next, make sure your wall outlet is functioning properly by plugging another electrical device into it. If that device doesn't work as well, a circuit breaker that provides power to that outlet has probably been tripped.
