How to Remove the Cam and Packing From a Kitchen Faucet

Kitchen faucets that feature a cam and packing washer are of the ball design. These two components are located just above the faucet's ball. If dripping persists, partially disassemble the faucet to access what might be a damaged cam and packing washer. Does this Spark an idea?
