How to Do a Turkey Call
Tube turkey calls are uncommon, and as such are often overlooked by many hunters. However, this rarity serves as an advantage, as turkeys are less likely to have encountered them and identified them as traps. What's more, the tube call can be created without any expensive equipment or complicated craftsmanship.
Things You'll Need
- 3/4-inch PVC pipe coupler

Creating a Turkey Call
-
1
Trace the PVC coupling on the margarine lid, and cut the circle out.
-
2
Cut the circle in half.
-
-
3
Glue the half circle onto the PVC coupling so that it covers half of one end of the tubing.
-
4
Cut a two-inch square out of the latex glove.
-
5
Place the square across the top of the PVC coupling so that one end runs adjacent to the half-circle.
-
6
Secure the square by wrapping rubber bands around the PVC coupling just below the half circle.
-
7
Place the tube to your mouth with your upper lip resting on the half circle and your mouth pointed at the latex square.
-
8
Say "tooka, tooka" at the square to create a turkey "gobble."
